FIND YOUR FITNESS: Push Yourself

If there is one thing that working with a trainer and training in this MMA core class has showed me, it is that PUSHING yourself to be BETTER is more possible than you think. When it comes down to it, it is a mental factor, your thought process, and how you handle the task at hand.
I always tell people I'm working out with "when you think you're done, you're really only at about 40% of what your body can handle but it comes down to your mentality to put in that extra work". You aren't going to see shocking results by just getting by in the gym and not challenging your muscles. You have to constantly challenge yourself and push yourself to finish that last set, add that little bit of extra weight, or hold that squat/plank/etc for those extra 10 seconds. It WILL make you stronger.
My favorite feeling is a workout getting easier and adding weight or doing a harder version of the exercise. It is one of the most rewarding and motivating feelings to know your hard work is showing.
Through doing this MMA core class, it has REALLY showed me the benefits of pushing yourself. This class has me working out in a whole new way. It opened my eyes to how much stamina and core strength you have to have. Not just that, but at the end of the day when you walk onto the mat theonly person you're benefiting is yourself so why not give it your all? It is you who will take away as much or as little as you decide.
Shout out to my Step-Dad for telling me about this class so I can join and for constantly pushing himself to be better! It doesn't matter how old you are, or what gender you are, or what you do. It only matters how hard you work, how dedicated you are,and how WILLING you are to change.
SO I will leave you all with this, I CHALLENGE you guys to push yourself just that little bit more and see how your progress changes. Start thinking "I CAN DO IT" and take out "I Can't".
