quote of the week
"Do what you can, with what you have, where you are"
- Theodore Roosevelt
I couldn't have picked a more perfect quote out of my little inspiration box. I don't know about you, but I am at a place in my life where I want to move forward, start my climb to success, and make a life for myself.
Utilizing theskills you have, the experiences you have, and the time you haveto find an opportunity will be your golden ticket to move up in the world. When I read this quote, my mind immediately went to thinking, am I doing all I can?For example, creating my blog. It gives me a space to let my creativity flow and to keep writing. It had me thinking, what else can I do?What do I have right now, that I can use to my advantage? It doesn't have to be something physically tangible. It can be a skill, a motivation, a burst of inspiration, an idea, anything really.
How can we take where we are and transform that into where we want to go?
That's always the hard part because we think we NEED that dream job, we NEED this amount of money, or we NEED these connections at the start. Realistically everyone starts with what they have, the job they have (or don't have at the moment), the limited funds they have, and the connections they already have established. No one starts out with their dream life, it is built from WHAT YOU HAVE, WHERE YOU ARE and grows from doing ALL YOU CAN to change it.
So when you are stuck at a point in life and it isn't particularly where you want to be, ask yourself: Am I doing all I can with what I have?
Until Next Time,
